Hubby and I have been busy lately with work that we had no choice but to pass up with our Wedding Anniversary (October 14). He was in Davao for their office’s expansion so rather than having him go back and forth, I told him to just finish everything in Davao as it’s not easy to be traveling for 2 days straight (CDO-Davao). That day ended just like any ordinary day .. apart from greeting each other of course . Nevertheless, we are thankful that God gave us so much blessings and helped to keep our marriage stronger all these years.

Anyway in our effort to at least get away from work for a while and spend time with the kids even just for a day, we decided to spend the night away … away from our house that is! hehehehe.. We booked a room at Marco Hotel along Gusa yesterday. We took the kids with us and enjoyed a stress free day at the hotel. Took a dip in the swimming pool. I realized it’s been such a long time since we last went to alwana for an afternoon swim. Last year was a frequent visit to the place along with other health conscious friends (was it last year??)…Anyhoo, I loved our room! it’s big and the restroom is huge too! our excited kids jumped into the pool right away minutes after we checked in.

We had our sumptuous dinner at their restaurant around 7:00 PM. Luckily the hotel was not crowded since it’s not weekend, so we kinda enjoyed our time there with less people. After dinner the kids watched cartoons/play online games while hubby and me decided to go into the pool and relax in their jacuzzi . Marco hotel is ideal if you want to just relax and bond with your family, friends or special someone.

The next day, the kids and I went swimming early before we took our breakfast. We could’ve played indoor games if we only brought our rubber shoes and badminton rackets since Marco has their recreation area (Tennis court, badminton court and wall climbing). Wall climbing starts at 1:00 PM as well so we were not able to try it while we were there. We promised the kids though that we will go back and have them try wall climbing one of these days. After our brief stroll, we head back to our room and goofed around with the camera! LoL! until check out! Super kulit! T’was just a short getway but worth it! Next time we’ll have a longer vacation somewhere else….where?? we’ll see!
