October 25, 2009 – Day after the much awaited 3rd Mindanao Blogger’s Summit I reported to work since my rest day falls on the weekdays … I dreaded that but I have no choice! Working on weekends is much stressful! Our queue was terribly HIGH! I took charge of the floor and I only had 11 agents to fully cater all the technical support requests! I had to walk here and there, then back to my station for my never ending admin task…technical questions! Oh my God! I need some fresh air! Finally our shift ended but I had to stay for another hour as I need to finish some unattended tasks due to the surge of queue earlier. Oh geezz!

I went home bringing a box of Pizza Viva Lasagna from Pizza Hut around 3:30 PM! I forgot that I didn’t have lunch pala! Well, what else is new! Anyway, hubby and kids enjoyed the pizza, so did I! I highly recommend it by the way! The thin and soft crust is easy to bite and it tastes great! After feasting the pizza, I didn’t want to do anything but to just sit down and rest as I had a very stressful day! Then Oh-Em-Gee! I just realized I still have a very important appointment to attend to! Thank goodness I remember! I have a dinner date with  my Ponggoks Family to celebrate our second Mommy’s Birthday. Yep! Our Mommy and Ninang Ailyn Taga turned another year younger!

So Hubby and I together with the kids changed around 6PM and rushed to Mindys. We dropped by our favorite cake store first (Red Ribbon) to buy cake for the celebrant then we went straight to Mindys. Everyone was already there when we came in. No, except for Pipoy and Pipay, the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Abamonga :) . We greeted everyone and gave Mommy Ai a hug wishing her a happy birthday. We know this is not the best birthday she have since this is her first time to celebrate her birthday without our Tatay Ninong Rem :( . But despite that, life must go on! We know she’s in her trying times and we just wanted her to feel that we are with her and she is not alone towards the journey of healing.

So anyway, we had our dinner in between chit-chat, reminiscing the past…Married life sharing, kids and the single blessedness of Joseph! ahhaahha! We gathered around, lit the candle and sang happy birthday for Mommy Ai. While everyone was busy teasing Joseph, he took the liberty of slicing the cake and distributed it to everyone. Ethyl was in her “photographer/director mode” and ordered our husbands to feed the wives with cake as if we are newlyweds! hahahaha! Ethyl jud! And of course Joseph ended up feeding himself! LoL! We had so much fun though there were just few of us…Some were not able to come for reasons we don’t know..at least those who are just in CDO. I’m glad to hear Mommy Ailyn’s loud laugh. For me that was the best part of the night….seeing her laugh. See pictures after the jump!

On a serious note, we agreed to just plan for our yearly reunion and made some important notes. Hopefully everything will push through as planned. Joseph should be sending out the agreed plan for our annual gathering.

@Gie – grabe ang feeling! I know we were all holding back the tears while sharing the dreams we had about our tatay rem..Ethyl even shared maple’s dream too! I remember, the first time I went to our computer lab to meet the rest of the gang for our Nasuli travel to attend the last wake, I burst into tears when I looked at his corner…it was hard, but we have to accept it :( . Until now he is so alive pa in my thoughts, I’m glad na what I remember most are his smiles. Mommy Ai is a strong person, she’ll be fine..
